Curious what other schools are using for their authentication provider for students as it pertains to SIS and LMS solutions. Can anyone share what they are using and some notes about how difficult managing / setting up the provider may be? We may also integrate student email in the future if we start providing email to students, but that is to be determined.
We currently have PowerCAMPUS/Self-Service and Canvas by Instructure to integrate in the future. For years we've only been using the basic SQL Provider for PowerCAMPUS, but because of requirements changes for a 3rd party LMS, we'd like to try to limit the number of unique logins each student has for our systems (for their benefit and ours). So a single provider that talks to the multiple systems is the goal. We'd like it to be as simplistic as possible for ongoing management sake.
